Call for Papers

This year's conference theme, Connections — Between Languages, Spaces, and Cultures, invites participants to explore intersections of languages and cultures within the context of Germanic Studies. Organized by the Graduate Association of Germanic Language Students (GAGLS), the GCGS provides an inclusive platform for scholars at all stages of their academic careers to share their research, exchange ideas, and network with fellow academics. The conference is designed to create a supportive environment for graduate students to participate in a peer conference.

Submission Guidelines

We welcome abstracts from various fields within or related to Germanic Studies. We encourage proposals for individual or co-authored presentations of 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of discussion. The conference languages are English and German. Abstracts of 250-500 words, including references, can be submitted through the abstract submission form by February 1st, 2026.
